New Price Lists for Products & Deliveries

Price Increases 1st March 2023
Important Price Changes from 1st March 2023
With sustained wholesale price hikes over the past year, we have taken the difficult decision to review our product pricing to ensure the retail side of the business remains profitable in the short to long term. We have seen unprecedented increases across all of our wholesale product costs and unfortunately can no longer absorb these costs under our existing pricing structure. As a business, we are also dealing with the cost of living crisis and much higher overhead costs to run Silver Birch on a daily basis so itβs sometimes unavoidable that we have to make these difficult decisions to ensure we can guarantee the long term sustainability of the organisation moving forward.
Alongside reviewing our product prices, we have also had to consider our delivery charges which have not seen an increase in almost 10 years. You will be aware that the cost of everything is on the rise, with record levels of inflation and this also impacts the direct costs of running our business and customer deliveries. So with this in mind, there will be some increases to our delivery charges and the free delivery threshold amount will also rise.
All of the above changes will come into effect from 1st March 2023.
We hope everyone understands the reasoning behind these changes and you are still able to support us as a loyal and valued customer.
Thank you.

It was fantastic to see people turn up to show their support and our see our customers, old and new, greatly appreciating our products. It means so much to us as a charity to have the support of the local and wider community as this helps fund the essential services we provide to our clients.
Now we’re into summer and our weekend opening has now ended, we are planning a series of pop-up stalls at some upcoming shows in nearby local communities.
If you still haven’t stocked up on our amazing range of shrubs, plants, bedding and perennials then come along to one of our pop-ups at:
The Campsie Show on Saturday 4th June

Kirkintilloch Gala on Saturday 11th June
See you there!
Spring 2022

Thankfully the seasons are now starting to change as we emerge from the darker months of winter. Over the past few weeks, the teams have been working flat out to organise our first full scale spring season for almost two years!
Due to the pandemic, we unfortunately had to cancel our spring season in both 2020 and 2021 which is normally one of our busiest seasons of the year. Fortunately our loyal customers continued to support us throughout this difficult time by buying our products when restrictions allowed. We want to thank you all for your continued support.
Now we are emerging from the pandemic restrictions, we are able to plan a more normal spring season for all of our customers to enjoy. This year, the Spring Open Weekend will be on Saturday 30th April and Sunday 1st May 2022 between 10am-4pm. So save the date in your diary and come along and celebrate our first open weekend in almost two years.
Keep an eye on our social media updates in the coming weeks for more information.
Christmas 2021
We are all well aware that this past 18 months has been very challenging and difficult for all of us. So we hope that news of our annual Christmas Special Event creates some festive cheer and excitement and helps to lift all of your spirits!
Our event this year will be on Saturday 27th November between 3pm-7pm. Everyone who orders their Christmas Tree before 28th November will also enjoy an extra early bird discount of 10%! We will of course still have to have some Covid protocols in place, but we’re planning to make this one of the best yet! To reserve you space at the event, call us on 0141 777 5050

May 2021
Planning for the future
Returning to normal after the pandemic
It’s fair to say that this past year has definitely been a tumultuous and uncertain year for Silver Birch and everyone else! We have had to make lots of changes and adapt our business as the year has gone on, to ensure everyone’s safety throughout this pandemic.
You will know that Silver Birch alongside many other organisations were hit particularly hard and had to close for extended periods throughout the pandemic to ensure the safety of our clients, staff and customers. This has been a prolonged period of uncertainty for the organisation however we are hopeful that there is now some light at the end of the tunnel and we are now planning how the next twelve months will pan out in the aftermath of the pandemic.
We have already begun reopening keys parts of the organisation including some clients services and our garden centre. There are of course lots of changes not only to our work environment but also the ways we work to ensure we are following the appropriate guidance in navigating through this stage the pandemic safely.
With the roll out of the vaccine programme we are hopeful that we can start a slow gradual return to a more normal service and have started welcoming our clients back to the service, albeit on a much reduced capacity. This has worked very well and our aim is to have most clients and staff back at the service by the end of June 2021.
