With sustained wholesale price hikes over the past year, we have taken the difficult decision to review our product pricing to ensure the retail side of the business remains profitable in the short to long term. We have seen unprecedented increases across all of our wholesale product costs and unfortunately can no longer absorb these costs under our existing pricing structure. As a business, we are also dealing with the cost of living crisis and much higher overhead costs to run Silver Birch on a daily basis so it’s sometimes unavoidable that we have to make these difficult decisions to ensure we can guarantee the long term sustainability of the organisation moving forward.
Alongside reviewing our product prices, we have also had to consider our delivery charges which have not seen an increase in almost 10 years. You will be aware that the cost of everything is on the rise, with record levels of inflation and this also impacts the direct costs of running our business and customer deliveries. So with this in mind, there will be some increases to our delivery charges and the free delivery threshold amount will also rise.
